Raven, the English heavy metal rock band formed in 1974, recently announced their upcoming North American tour called the “Can’t Take Away Fire Tour.” The band, known for their influence on the thrash metal genre, will be hitting over 35 cities from March to May, accompanied by special guest Slackjaw.
The tour, set to kick off in Louisville, Kentucky, on March 18 and conclude in Florida on May 3, will include stops in cities such as Oklahoma City, Dallas, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland, Denver, Toronto, Albany, and Richmond, among others. The band expressed their excitement for the tour on Instagram, posting the official tour poster and captioning it with “North America here we come!!”
Raven last performed in the United States and Canada in spring 2024 for their “All Hell Breaks Loose Tour” and opening for Vicious Rumors. After taking a break in 2025 due to health reasons, the band is eager to get back on stage and deliver an electrifying performance for their fans.
Lead vocalist and bassist John Gallagher shared his enthusiasm for the upcoming tour with This Day in Metal, stating, “We have a killer band SLACKJAW out with us as special guests on these shows, and it’s gonna be a take-no-prisoners full-out affair!” The band’s lineup also includes John’s brother, Mark, and Mike Heller.
Raven’s legacy dates back to the early 1980s as part of the new wave of British heavy metal scene. With fifteen studio albums under their belt, the band is best known for their hit “On and On.” Their journey with Neat Records in 1980 marked the beginning of their success, leading to the release of albums like Rock Until You Drop and Stay Hard.
To celebrate their 50th anniversary, Raven released an EP titled Can’t Take Away The Fire and a single “Metal Militia.” These projects mark the band’s first releases since their 2023 album All Hell’s Breaking Loose. Fans can purchase tickets for the upcoming tour on Raven’s official website.
With a rich history in the heavy metal genre, Raven continues to captivate audiences with their powerful music and energetic performances. Stay tuned as they bring their iconic sound to stages across North America on the “Can’t Take Away Fire Tour.”
