When the Great Wolf Lodge released a ranch milkshake for a limited time, my DMs were flooded with messages. Friends and family members jokingly asked if I would make the trip to try one, knowing my love for ranch. As someone who dubbed myself a “ranch expert” for Parade, I took this concoction seriously. Naturally, I made plans to visit The Great Wolf Lodge as soon as possible.
Thankfully, the resort reached out to me with details about the shake. During a visit in January for the Valentine’s Romance on the River event, I had a great time, even though ranch wasn’t featured on the menu. Of course, I brought a plushie of a bottle of ranch as my date, but I don’t think I inspired the shake itself – I was informed it went through intense testing. However, maybe I was a muse of sorts.
Now, as a credible ranch connoisseur (and maybe a little crazy), I can confirm that the ranch milkshake is good. It blends vanilla ice cream and ranch dressing, garnished with crispy chicken, carrots, celery, whipped cream, and a sweet, salty lime rim. Shockingly, it tastes just like ranch with a hint of sweetness, making it both delicious and slightly mind-bending. The chefs did a great job balancing the flavors, making it a unique and enjoyable drink.
The ranch milkshake is available for a limited time at all 22 U.S. lodges (except Anaheim) from March 5 to May 20, 2026. On National Ranch Day, guests can sip on this creation for just $3.10. At the Poconos location, I was able to order it at Buckets Burgers & Bites inside the waterpark, making it a fun treat to enjoy during your visit.
In addition to the ranch milkshake, Great Wolf Lodge is introducing new menu items like the Springtime Bourbon Peach Tea, Tito’s Orangeberry Crush, and the Fire Grilled Skewer Trio. For those with a love for ranch like myself, this new drink is a must-try. Whether you’re a die-hard ranch fan or just looking for a unique dining experience, the ranch milkshake at Great Wolf Lodge is worth the visit.
