Pepperidge Farm and Nate Berkus Collab on Limited-Edition Chessmen Cookie Board

Pepperidge Farm is breathing new life into one of its top-ranked cookies through an unexpected collaboration with fan-favorite interior designer Nate Berkus, rather than a pastry chef. The iconic snack brand, partnering with Nate Berkus, is reinventing its classic Chessmen cookies as a functional serving piece in a completely unique way—intentionally deviating from the norm.

“The launch of our newest Chessmen flavors puts a fresh spin on a true classic cookie,” explained Ama Auwarter, vice president of bakery and cookies at Campbell’s Snacks, Pepperidge Farm’s parent company. “Partnering with Nate Berkus allowed us to further evolve our product into an elevated, style-driven piece that brings our heritage to life in a new way.”

The limited-edition Chessmen-inspired serving board features a classic chessboard pattern, paying homage to the beloved shortbread-style cookie. Its color scheme reflects the recent flavor additions, incorporating caramel hues, cinnamon warmth, and rich brown butter-inspired details. Additionally, the board includes a storage compartment in the base designed to fit a bag of Chessmen cookies.

According to Berkus, “Great design starts with something timeless.” He continued, “Chess patterns have endured for generations because they’re classic—much like Pepperidge Farm Chessmen cookies. I loved the idea of building on something so familiar and giving it a new point of view.”

The Pepperidge Farm x Nate Berkus Chessmen Cookie Board is about honoring heritage while reimagining it in a modern, elevated, and unexpected manner. The board will not be available in stores; fans can purchase the limited-edition piece and three new Chessmen cookies for $60.00 exclusively through the official collaboration website in two drops while supplies last.

The first drop of the Pepperidge Farm x Nate Berkus Chessmen Cookie Boards will be available on Wednesday, April 22, at 10 a.m. EST, with a second drop scheduled for the following week on Wednesday, April 29, also at 10 a.m. EST. This collaboration between Pepperidge Farm and Nate Berkus offers a unique blend of classic design and modern innovation for fans to enjoy.
