OUTLINE Festival: Times New Viking Reunion Announced

Attention all indieheads and garage band enthusiasts! The lively scene at the Knockdown Center in Queens, New York, is about to get even more electric. The highly anticipated OUTLINE Festival has just unveiled its lineup, promising a night filled with punk rock and garage band vibes. Notably, Times New Viking, the beloved American lo-fi indie rock band hailing from Columbus, Ohio, will be gracing the stage together for the first time in a decade. For fans, this reunion is a dream come true, especially since the band’s last New York City show was back in June 2012 at the Le Poisson Rouge.

Joining Times New Viking at the festival will be The Spits, Prison Affair, SNÕÕPER, and The Serfs, ensuring a night of non-stop energy and unforgettable performances next March.

Comprised of Jared Phillips on guitar, Adam Elliott on drums, and Beth Murphy on keyboards, Times New Viking burst onto the music scene with their debut album “Dig Yourself” in 2005. Over the years, they released four more studio albums, as well as multiple EPs and singles. However, in 2012, following the release of “Over & Over,” the band took a hiatus as its members scattered across different parts of the United States. It wasn’t until 2016 that they reunited for a show at 4th and 4th Fest in Columbus.

Today, each member of the band continues to make music and pursue their own artistic endeavors. Murphy, under the moniker The Girl in Times New Viking, has released solo material and formed the duo Married FM. Elliott has started his own group called Long Odds, while Phillips has been creating music with Counter Intuit.

Fans of Times New Viking have been buzzing with excitement on social media since the news broke. Comments ranging from “Times New Viking?!!!😍” to “Pretty cool to see this” to “I may have to fly out for this” have been flooding various platforms, showcasing the intense anticipation building up to the festival.

Ensure you mark your calendars for March 6, 2026, and head over to the Knockdown Center in Flushing at 7 pm for OUTLINE. Tickets for this exciting music festival are currently on sale via DICE for $43.26.

In a world where music is constantly evolving, the return of Times New Viking serves as a powerful reminder of the enduring impact of indie rock and garage band culture.
