Oreo Unveils Zero Sugar Cookies

Oreo, a fan-favorite sweet treat, has always pushed the boundaries when it comes to flavors. From Apple Pie à La Mode to S’mores, the iconic cookie brand has never been afraid to experiment. Recently, Oreo has even delved into controversial territory with flavors like Turkey & Stuffing. Collaborations with brands like Coca-Cola have led to limited-edition releases that play with fans’ senses in new and exciting ways.

Listening to fan feedback, Oreo has expanded its portfolio to meet specific dietary needs with a growing gluten-free line. Now, the brand is gearing up for its biggest first yet with the launch of Oreo Zero Sugar Cookies. These new sandwich treats are made without added sugar to cater to the growing desire for more mindful indulgences with lower sugar options.

The recipe for Oreo Zero Sugar Cookies uses a blend of sugar substitutes like maltitol, polydextrose, sucralose, and acesulfame-K to maintain the authentic Oreo experience without the use of sugar or aspartame. The new zero-sugar cookie line will debut in two varieties: the original Oreo cookie and Double Stuf. The packaging has also been reimagined, with a stand-up style bag containing individually-wrapped two-count packages of Oreos inside.

Oreo Zero Sugar Cookies will be hitting shelves nationwide in January 2026 as a new permanent Oreo option. Priced at around $5.79, these cookies will be available alongside classic Oreo offerings like Mint Creme, Lemon Creme, and Mega Stuf. Seasonal flavors like Oreo Holiday Joy and White Fudge Covered Oreo will also be part of the lineup.

In a world where consumers are increasingly seeking lower sugar options, Oreo’s launch of Zero Sugar Cookies marks a significant move for the brand. With a commitment to meeting the evolving needs of snackers, Oreo continues to innovate and bring new experiences to cookie lovers everywhere.
