Muppet Mania at Hollywood Studios: The Electric Mayhem Takeover

Step into the world of Hollywood Studios, where the iconic Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster is undergoing a Muppet makeover. As of May 26, Aerosmith vibes will be replaced with the Electric Mayhem, led by a certain clipboard-carrying gofer named Scooter. Disney’s reimagined attraction focuses on Scooter, bringing him to life through cutting-edge motion-capture technology in the form of an Audio-Animatronics figure. This dynamic animatronic captures Scooter’s essence, ensuring he looks, moves, and emotes authentically.

The story unfolds at G-Force Records, now managed by Scooter’s uncle, J.P. Grosse, in a nod to Jim Henson lore. The Electric Mayhem, including Dr. Teeth, Animal, and Janice, are rehearsing while a crowd eagerly waits. Scooter works to rally the band to get to their fans, leading to a high-velocity journey through Hollywood in a Muppet Labs-enhanced L.I.M.O.

The music has received a modern twist, featuring Electric Mayhem covers of rock classics and collaborations with stars like Kelly Clarkson and Def Leppard. Fans will also spot familiar faces in the queue, from Weird Al Yankovic to Travis Barker. After the adrenaline rush of the ride, guests can enjoy the courtyard’s FØØD by Swedish Chef, completing the nostalgic experience.

To navigate the opening-month crowds, keep an eye out for Disney Vacation Club and Annual Passholder preview dates. This energetic remix proves that everything is better with penguins in the recording booth. It’s a fun, contemporary take on a beloved attraction, blending Muppet magic with rock ‘n’ roll excitement.
