Mila Kunis Opens Up About Hosting Thanksgiving for 27 People

Opening with a scene or hook, actress Mila Kunis recently opened up about the realities of hosting Thanksgiving dinner for her loved ones. In a candid interview with Extra TV, promoting her new film Wake Up Dead Man, Kunis shared the challenges of hosting a Thanksgiving meal for 27 people, admitting that the task had become overwhelming for her.

The actress revealed that while she initially thought she could handle cooking for such a large group, the reality of not having enough oven space or pots quickly set in. Kunis candidly admitted that the task of making food for nearly 30 people had surpassed her abilities, leading her to cap the number of guests at 20 to ensure a more manageable experience.

Despite her best efforts, Kunis’s husband Ashton Kutcher believed her Thanksgiving undertaking was a bit ambitious. When Kunis began panicking over making mashed potatoes for the large group, Kutcher suggested hosting a potluck where guests could bring their own dishes. While initially resistant to the idea, Kunis eventually outsourced the mashed potatoes in order to alleviate some of the stress.

In addition to her Thanksgiving preparations, Kunis also spoke about balancing her work schedule with Kutcher’s to ensure that one of them is always available for their children, Isabelle and Dimitri. She mentioned that they purposefully avoid working at the same time when the kids are in school, allowing them to tag team in and out to be present for their family.

Wrapping up the interview with Access Hollywood, Kunis noted that her son would be turning nine shortly after Thanksgiving and typically preferred celebrating with sporty activities like football, racing cars, or laser tag. This insight into their family dynamic showcases Kunis’s commitment to creating meaningful experiences for her children, even amidst her busy schedule.

Observing Mila Kunis navigate the challenges of hosting a Thanksgiving gathering for her family provides a glimpse into her down-to-earth approach to motherhood and balancing her career. As she tactfully manages the demands of cooking for a large group and prioritizing family time, Kunis showcases a relatable and authentic perspective on juggling responsibilities in the midst of a busy Hollywood career.
