Micky Dolenz Expands 60 Years of The Monkees Tour to More Cities Across America

Micky Dolenz, the Monkees frontman, recently launched his 60 Years of the Monkees tour to immense demand, prompting him to expand the tour to more cities across America. Dolenz, who just turned 80, shared the exciting news on Feb. 18, expressing his surprise at the need to add more cities to the tour. He announced new dates for the Micky Dolenz Celebrates The Monkees’ 60th Tour, including stops in Atlanta, Los Angeles, and more, emphasizing the need to keep his vocal cords warmed up and stories polished.

In a special treat for fans, Dolenz also shared a pre-sale code, MICKY2026, allowing them to secure their seats early. With the first three shows already sold out, Dolenz encouraged fans not to miss out and blame him later. The expanded tour will now include additional nights in Atlanta and Clearwater, as well as stops in towns like Joliet, Kettering, and Myrtle Beach.

As the last surviving member of the ‘60s rock group, Dolenz has taken it upon himself to honor sixty years of The Monkees. The band, consisting of Micky, Mike Nesmith, Peter Tork, and Davy Jones, was formed as a project for NBC television producers Bob Rafelson and Bert Schneider to capitalize on the popular mop-top trend sweeping the nation.

Although The Monkees TV show only ran for two seasons, the band’s legacy extended far beyond television screens. The Monkees achieved chart-topping success with hits like “Last Train to Clarksville,” “I’m a Believer,” and “Daydream Believer,” as well as four number one albums.

Reflecting on the group’s success, Dolenz recounted the time when The Monkees outsold The Beatles and the Rolling Stones combined in 1967. Their album “More of the Monkees” debuted at No. 1 and remained in that spot for 18 weeks, showcasing their phenomenal popularity.

Dolenz initially announced the 60th anniversary tour in late 2025 and kicked off the tour in February. Despite the losses of his fellow Monkees in recent years, Dolenz continues to honor their memory with stellar performances and heartfelt remembrances online.

The tour dates for Micky Dolenz: 60 Years of the Monkees include various cities across the country, offering fans a chance to celebrate the enduring legacy of The Monkees in style.
