Meet Kadeena Cox: Age, Career, Parents Explored

Kadeena Cox is a 30-year-old is a four-time Paralympic gold medallist and has represented Team GB in sprinting and cycling events.
Kadeena is no stranger to TV, having appeared on Mastermind and The Great Stand Up To Cancer Bake Off. She also won the 16th series of BBC’s Celebrity MasterChef, beating Joe Swash and Megan McKenna.
Kadeena previously competed as an able-bodied athlete, primarily competing in 100m and 200m.
However, in 2014 Cox was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. MS is a lifelong condition that can affect the brain and spinal cord.
It can cause a wide range of problems including affecting vision, arm and leg movement, sensation and balance.

The Paralympian was born in Leeds, England, in 1991. Kadeena Cox’s parents are Asmond Williams (her father who works in construction) and Jasmin Cox Williams (her mother). They were both Jamaican migrants to the UK.
Asmond Williams reportedly has three daughters from a previous relationship while her mother has two daughters from a previous relationship. The couple have Kadeena and her brother together.
Her parents and family still live in Leeds and Kadeena remains close to them. Her mother, Jasmin, spoke to inews about how her daughter has always been resilient, even in the face of adversity.
This resilience shone through when Kadeena was diagnosed with MS in 2014.
