Madonna and Geena Davis Surprise Fans with Reunion at Coachella

The stars of “A League of Their Own,” Madonna and Geena Davis, surprised fans with an unexpected reunion at Coachella weekend. The iconic duo posed for a photo after both joining Sabrina Carpenter’s headlining set. It has been 32 years since their collaboration in the 1992 sports comedy, directed by Penny Marshall and starring Tom Hanks.

Geena Davis took to Instagram to share the reunion photo with her co-star, captioning it with a nostalgic reference to their characters from the movie. “Mae – so happy to see you again! Love, Dottie,” she wrote.

“A League of Their Own” tells the story of the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League during World War II. Davis played Dorothy “Dottie” Hinson, while Madonna portrayed “All the Way” Mae Mordabito. The film was a box office success, grossing $134 million against a $40 million budget, and was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry in 2012.

Fans of the original film were thrilled to see the reunion of the two stars, with one fan quoting the film’s iconic anthem, “We’re the members of the All American League. We come from cities near and far.”

At Coachella, Madonna surprised the audience by joining Carpenter on stage to perform some of her hits, including “Vogue” and “Like a Prayer.” Davis also made an appearance as an older version of Carpenter at a drive-in movie theater.
