Love is in the Air at Dairy Queen: Red Velvet Blizzard and Valentine’s Day Cupcakes are Back!

Love is permeating the air at Dairy Queen as Valentine’s Day approaches, bringing with it a few extra reasons for celebration among DQ fans.

One delightful return, just in time to satisfy sweet cravings and serve as the ultimate treat for your sweetheart, is the beloved Red Velvet Blizzard from the fast food chain. This fan-favorite Blizzard flavor, which first debuted over a decade ago in February 2014, has made a triumphant comeback, much to the delight of its loyal fans.

The Red Velvet flavor for the month of February features indulgent red velvet cake pieces and layers of silky cream cheese icing blended into the signature soft serve. According to Instagram food blogger Markie_Devo, Dairy Queen is spreading the love with the return of this treat and new 2 for $6 Valentine’s Cupcakes.

“With every bite of the Red Velvet Blizzard, you’ll feel the love and passion that went into creating this signature treat, a one-of-a-kind confection. So go ahead, indulge in a cup of pure dessert bliss and enjoy the ultimate taste of love,” as described on the DQ website.

While the return of the Red Velvet Blizzard is exciting on its own, the spotlight also shines on the introduction of Valentine’s Day cupcakes, available at the unbeatable deal of two for $6. Topped with pink, red, or white frosting and heart-shaped sprinkles, these cupcakes are a mini spin on the iconic DQ Fudge and Crunch Cakes layered with DQ vanilla and chocolate soft serve, signature fudge, and crunch.

Both the Red Velvet Blizzard and the Valentine’s Day cupcakes will be available at participating Dairy Queen locations nationwide for a limited time starting on Jan. 26. And that’s not all – Dairy Queen is also bringing back the highly-requested Parmesan Garlic Sauced and Tossed Chicken Strip Basket.

The return of these beloved treats and menu items at Dairy Queen is a delightful way to celebrate the season of love and indulgence, adding a touch of sweetness to the winter months for DQ fans everywhere.
