Infamous for her involvement in the college admissions scandal, dubbed “Operation Varsity Blues” in which she and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli bribed their two daughters’ way into the University of Southern California.

The scandal exposed Lori Loughlin, her husband and a huge number of wealthy Americans who bribed their children’s way into colleges like Stanford, Yale, USC and UCLA through Rick Singer. Rick Singer created false student-athlete profiles to help the girls who had never taken part in the sport, get accepted.

Critics React to Lori Loughlin’s Return to Acting

Lori has reportedly been granted permission by a Boston federal judge to travel to Canada for “a filming production project.” However, this development has not gone down well with many critics who feel that she should not have been given this opportunity as many people struggle to find work after incarceration. Other social media users have pointed out that the problem isn’t her return to acting, as much as it is the fact that “she faced no real repercussions.” Others have termed it, “white privilege at its finest.”

Lori is not the only one who has faced backlash, as her daughter Olivia also faced enormous criticism when it was announced that she would be competing on Dancing With The Stars. A critic tweeted, “I guess ratings prevail over morals.”
