Lizzo is letting Andy Cohen know she has a little “beef” with him.
During a recent interview on SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live, the “About Damn Time” singer jokingly accused Cohen of pressuring her into revealing her relationship with Myke Wright during their last on-air conversation.
“You know what?” Lizzo, 36, said. “I really got beef with you because the last time we saw each other you f—— outed me!” (Note: The video below contains profanity.)
Cohen acknowledged that he had “inadvertently” made Lizzo admit she was dating someone, after he brought up paparazzi photos of her with a “mystery man” during their April 2022 interview on Radio Andy.
Lizzo laughed, recalling how “so funny” the moment was, especially since Wright was actually in the studio with them at the time.
“I was in such a weird position because, like, we’re so private, but he was there and I was like, ‘I don’t want to say ‘no’ because I don’t want to (hurt him),’” she explained.
Cohen asked if their exchange created any awkwardness between Lizzo and Wright, who is an actor and comedian.
“No. It started s— with the world, though,” she replied, adding, “I think when the world sees two happy people, they want to destroy them.”
Lizzo and Wright went public with their relationship in June 2022, after attending a few events together.
In February 2023, Lizzo shared a series of affectionate photos with Wright at a pre-Grammys gala, captioning the now-deleted post, “Hard launch.”
The next day, they appeared together on the red carpet at the 2023 Grammys.
The couple, who have known each other for years, first met in 2016 while co-hosting MTV’s Wonderland and also attended the premieres of Teen Wolf and Sweet/Vicious.
They have been romantically linked since October 2021.
