Little Feat, the iconic L.A. rock band, is gearing up for their final tour this spring, and they’ve just revealed some exciting new additions to their lineup. Molly Tuttle, the talented singer-songwriter and bluegrass guitarist, will be joining them for two stops on The Last Farewell Tour: New Haven, Connecticut on May 29 and Fairport, New York on May 30.
Tuttle’s musical prowess and unique crosspicking guitar-playing style have made her a standout in the bluegrass and Americana music scene. She made history by becoming the first woman to win the International Bluegrass Music Association’s Guitar Player of the Year award in 2017, a feat she repeated the following year. Additionally, she has been named Americana Music Association Instrumentalist of the Year and has won multiple Grammy Awards for Best Bluegrass Album.
Little Feat shared the news on social media, with tickets already available for purchase on the band’s website. Tuttle is the only announced guest so far, promising a memorable experience for fans on the upcoming tour.
The Last Farewell Tour marks the end of over five decades of groundbreaking music from Little Feat. Formed in 1969 in Los Angeles, the band revolutionized rock and funk with their unique blend of genres. After the passing of founder Lowell George in 1979, the band underwent changes before finding success again with the release of their album Let It Roll in 1988.
The tour kicks off in Orlando, Florida on April 10 and will conclude in Denver, Colorado on August 22. With stops in various cities across the country, including New Orleans, Texas, Massachusetts, and California, fans will have the chance to experience a piece of music history before the band’s final farewell.
As Little Feat prepares to bid adieu to their fans, the addition of Molly Tuttle to their lineup promises an unforgettable musical journey filled with nostalgia, passion, and a celebration of their unique sound.
