Linda Thompson recently took a stroll down memory lane during a trip to Las Vegas. The songwriter and former actress, known for her relationship with Elvis Presley in the 1970s, revisited the same hotel where they once lived during the King of Rock and Roll’s famous Vegas residency.
Documenting her trip on Instagram, Thompson shared photos from the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino, formerly the International Hotel, where Elvis performed numerous sold-out shows over a span of seven historic years. She even attended an Elvis tribute show on the same stage where he had performed so many times.
During a Q&A session at the Westgate, Thompson answered fan questions about her relationship with Elvis. When asked about her age when she met the music icon, she revealed she was 22 and had just finished four years at Memphis State University at the time.
Thompson dated Elvis after his divorce from Priscilla Presley in 1972, and they were together for four years until their split in 1976, less than a year before Elvis’s untimely death at age 42 in 1977.
Following her time with Elvis, Thompson went on to marry Caitlyn Jenner in 1981. Together, they have two sons. She was also previously married to David Foster for over a decade before their divorce in 2005.
Thompson’s trip down memory lane in Las Vegas serves as a touching reminder of the past, highlighting her connections to one of music’s most legendary figures.
