Lanco’s Narrow Escape: On the Road to Safety

Lanco, the award-winning country music group, narrowly escaped a dangerous situation when their bus caught fire on a journey to Nashville. The incident occurred on Sunday, March 15, following a show in Des Moines, Iowa. Members Brandon Lancaster, Chandler Baldwin, Tripp Howell, Jared Hampton, and Tim Aven were on their way back when they encountered harsh winter weather, forcing them to halt their journey. Fortunately, they made the decision to seek shelter in a hotel instead of braving the storm on the bus.

The next morning, the bus driver discovered the vehicle engulfed in flames, but thankfully managed to escape with minor injuries. Brandon Lancaster expressed gratitude for everyone’s safety, highlighting the potentially catastrophic outcome if they had chosen to remain on the bus. Lancaster shared the aftermath of the fire on the band’s Instagram page, revealing the extent of the damage.

“We got stuck in a really nasty blizzard… We found ourselves in a situation where we were trying to debate whether to stay on the bus and just ride it out until maybe a tow truck could help get us out of the conditions or to just get out of there,” Lancaster explained. “When we were at the hotel, we found out, not long after that, our bus was engulfed in flames… Had we elected to stay on the bus, there would’ve been 12 of us in the middle of that trying to escape.”

This incident serves as a powerful reminder of the unpredictable nature of life on the road for musicians. The quick thinking and decisive actions of Lanco and their crew undoubtedly averted a potential tragedy. The impact of such a close call will surely resonate with their fans, emphasizing the importance of safety and adaptability in the face of unexpected challenges.
