Kristi Noem, born Kristi Lynn Arnold on November 30, 1971, in Watertown, South Dakota, is a prominent American politician currently serving as the 33rd governor of South Dakota. She has made significant contributions to state and national politics and is known for her strong conservative stance.
Early Life and Education
Raised on a family ranch in Hamlin County, Noem’s upbringing instilled in her a deep connection to agriculture and rural life. After graduating from Hamlin High School in 1990, she attended Northern State University but left to help run her family’s farm following her father’s tragic death in a farming accident in 1994. She later returned to education, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from South Dakota State University in 2012 while serving in Congress.
Political Career
Noem’s political career began in the South Dakota House of Representatives, where she served from 2007 to 2011.
