The highly anticipated sequel to the hit Netflix animated film “KPop Demon Hunters” has been officially confirmed, marking another exciting chapter for fans of the beloved movie. Original directors Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans recently announced a multi-year writing and directing deal with Netflix, ensuring that they can continue their creative partnership and bring more magic to the screen.

Following the overwhelming acclaim received by “KPop Demon Hunters,” with over 10 major award nominations, anticipation for the sequel is at an all-time high. Nominated in two major categories at the upcoming 98th annual Academy Awards – Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song – the film has captured the hearts of audiences worldwide.

“KPop Demon Hunters” tells the story of the HUNTR/X Korean Pop group, who lead a double life as demon hunters while navigating their superstardom. While an official release date for the sequel has not been set, directors Kang and Appelhans estimate that fans can expect the film to hit screens in 2029.
