Handcrafted by Gibson Custom in Nashville and developed in close collaboration with Richards himself, these guitars replicate one of the most recognizable instruments of his storied career.
Richards’ black 1960 ES-355 is often considered a holy grail among guitarists, with only 50 Collector’s Editions produced. Each guitar is signed by Richards on both the f-hole label and the back of the headstock, and will be exclusively available through Gibson.com and the Gibson Garage locations in Nashville and London. An additional 100 Signed Label versions—signed on the f-hole label only—will be sold through select Gibson Custom dealers and Gibson Garage stores.
For over six decades, Richards, known as the “Human Riff,” has been a rhythmic force in the rock world, with his 1960 ES-355 playing a crucial role in his sound. Richards first integrated the model into his arsenal in 1969 during recording sessions for albums like Sticky Fingers and Exile on Main St., and it has remained a staple on the band’s tours since 1997.
