As Kamala Harris plans her next steps following a tough general election campaign against Donald Trump, she has secured representation in Hollywood.
The California politician has signed with Creative Artists Agency (CAA), as confirmed by a spokesperson on Tuesday.
The agency aims to explore speaking engagements and publishing opportunities as Harris considers her options after her term ends.
This move brings Harris back together with her former boss, President Joe Biden, who also re-signed with CAA earlier this month.
The agency stated, “CAA will collaborate closely with Harris on her post-White House initiatives, creating strategic opportunities that enhance her platform in support of the issues she has championed throughout her extensive public service career.”
Harris has authored two books: 2019’s “The Truths We Hold: An American Journey” and 2009’s “Smart on Crime: A Career Prosecutor’s Plan to Make Us Safer,” both of which have contributed to her memoir and served as a foundation for her book tour and presidential campaign. There’s currently no information on a new publishing deal or project from the former California Senator.
CAA has been expanding its roster of political speakers, including notable figures like Sen. Joe Manchin, Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Beto O’Rourke, Andrew Yang, and David Plouffe, as it competes with major agencies like UTA and WME, which operates the specialized Harry Walker Agency in this field.
The formal announcement of CAA’s representation of the vice president comes just days before Harris is scheduled to receive the NAACP Chairman’s Award at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium on February 22, marking one of her first public appearances since the Trump era began. The event will be broadcasted live on CBS.
