Kamala Harris set to join Barack and Michelle Obama for landmark campaign events

Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris is gearing up to campaign alongside former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama at separate events next week. These appearances will be particularly notable as it marks the first time Harris will campaign with Obama.

Barack and Michelle Obama remain highly popular figures within the Democratic base, making these joint events significant for Harris’s campaign. Michelle Obama is scheduled to appear with Harris on Saturday, October 26, in Michigan. Meanwhile, Barack Obama will join Harris for a campaign event next Thursday in Georgia.

Additionally, Barack Obama recently campaigned for Harris in Pittsburgh, where he directly urged voters to support her over rival Donald Trump. The Obamas officially endorsed Harris in July and spoke at the Democratic National Convention in August in Chicago.

Harris has also unveiled new policy proposals aimed at supporting Black men, which include forgivable small business loans and access to a legal recreational marijuana industry.
