The holiday season is approaching, and families across the country are feeling the pinch of rising grocery costs. In a heartwarming gesture, Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow has once again stepped up to help those in need. Partnering with the high-protein breakfast and snack brand Kodiak, the Joe Burrow Foundation is making a major impact by donating 50,000 wholesome meals and snacks to children and families facing food insecurity.
This initiative marks a significant expansion from last year, when nearly 30,000 meals were donated, strengthening the ongoing partnership between Kodiak and the foundation, which is led by Joe Burrow and his parents, Jimmy and Robin Burrow.
“Food insecurity impacts far too many families,” Burrow shared in a statement. “This initiative with Kodiak allows the Joe Burrow Foundation to continue expanding our efforts to provide healthy, filling meals for kids and families who need them most. I’m grateful for Kodiak’s continued commitment to fueling communities that mean so much to me.”
Families in need across the country will receive a variety of Kodiak’s whole-grain, protein-packed products, including Power Cakes mixes, muffins, and granola bars—all designed to help kids start their day with real, nourishing ingredients.
Through their expanded partnership, Kodiak and the Joe Burrow Foundation are working closely with local community partners to ensure that these meals reach households facing the greatest need. The foundation, established in 2022, focuses on supporting underserved communities in Ohio and Louisiana, with a particular emphasis on children dealing with mental health challenges and food insecurity.
Kodiak’s CEO Val Oswalt expressed the company’s commitment to making nutritious food accessible to families who may be struggling. “We’re proud to continue partnering with Joe and the Joe Burrow Foundation to help families start their days strong,” Oswalt noted. “At Kodiak, we believe that access to real, nourishing food should never be a luxury—it’s the fuel that powers epic days. Together, we’re helping ensure more families have the wholesome breakfasts and snacks they need to take on whatever’s ahead.”
Founded over 30 years ago in Park City, Utah, Kodiak is known for crafting whole-grain, protein-rich breakfast options free from artificial preservatives or colors. The brand’s Power Cakes flapjack mixes, granola bars, and other products are designed to provide the fuel for an “epic day.”
The Joe Burrow Foundation, launched in October 2022, aims to support underprivileged communities in Ohio and Louisiana, with a focus on children with mental illness and families experiencing food insecurity.
