Jess Harding, the Season 10 winner of Love Island U.K., is making a highly anticipated return to the franchise in Love Island: All Stars Season 3. As an original Day 1 contestant on her season, Harding quickly found love with the bombshell Sammy Root on Day 5, ultimately navigating the twists and turns of the series to be crowned winner on Day 58.
Reflecting on her decision to return to the villa, Harding shared in a press interview, “Even though I ended up winning the series with Sammy, I felt like I had a bit of a rocky ride the first time and I feel like I’ve matured a lot more since.” Now three years older at 25, Harding believes she has grown significantly and is more sure of what she wants, particularly in terms of finding a lasting connection.
Approaching the experience with newfound confidence, Harding expressed her desire to not be seen as a pushover this time around. “I was the nice girl in the corner. But now my confidence has grown; I’ve got a great personality, I’m nice looking, if you don’t want me, someone else will be lucky to have me,” she confidently shared. Her aim is to inspire younger viewers to assert themselves and not let others walk all over them.
In terms of her dating life post-show, Harding revealed that she had a breakup with Sammy followed by another relationship until six months ago. Since then, she has been enjoying life to the fullest, partying and traveling, all while keeping an open mind about potential partners and experiences.
Looking ahead to her return, Harding is excited to embrace the full Love Island experience once again. While she recognizes the show’s popularity, she is not putting pressure on herself to win again. “I doubt I’m going to win it again, but who knows!” she mused.
