Janelle Brown Mourns Loss of Close Friend, Angela Moody

In a recent episode of ‘Sister Wives,’ Janelle Brown, a star of the series, faced a heartbreaking personal tragedy with the passing of her dear friend, Angela Moody. The show paid tribute to Angela, leaving fans wondering about the circumstances surrounding her absence from the series.

During the episode, viewers saw Janelle meeting with her friends for lunch before speaking with her ex-husband, Kody Brown, and ex-sister-wives, Meri and Robyn Brown, to finalize the sale of Coyote Pass. Janelle struggled with her emotions, almost losing her voice in the presence of Kody, to the amusement of her friends.

To producers, Janelle shared the difficulty of finding true friends in Flagstaff before moving to North Carolina, where she finally found a sense of belonging.

At the end of the episode, TLC honored Angela with a touching photo and the message, “In Memory of Angela Moody.” An obituary revealed that Angela passed away on Oct. 1, 2025, but her cause of death was not disclosed.

In a heartfelt Facebook post, Angela’s husband, Craig Moody, shed light on her struggles with addiction and the impact it had on their relationship over the years. He shared the pain of losing the woman he fell in love with due to the opioid crisis, a heart-wrenching reminder of the devastating effects of addiction.

Ahead of the episode, Janelle shared a reflective social media post celebrating her friendships in both Arizona and North Carolina, showcasing photos of Angela, Kristina, and other loved ones.

Angela is survived by her husband, Craig, and their children Nicholas, Taylor, and Isaac, as well as three grandchildren, with a fourth on the way.
