Johnny Depp has recently arrived in Spain, where his ex-wife Amber Heard now lives under a new identity with their daughter, Oonagh Paige.
Two years after their highly publicised legal battle, Heard relocated to Spain for a fresh start. On 24th September, Depp was spotted in Madrid while attending the San Sebastian Festival, allegedly disrupting Heard’s quiet life in the city.
When approached by paparazzi for her thoughts on Depp’s visit, Heard responded, “I’m living here in Madrid, I love Spain. I’m very lucky to be here, and regarding my past, I don’t feel like thinking or talking about it… because I’m happy and at peace.” She added that she has felt much better since moving to Spain and expressed a desire not to dwell on her former marriage.
Reflecting on their legal battle, Depp had sued Heard for defamation after she penned an article for The Washington Post detailing her experiences with sexual assault and domestic violence.
Although she did not name Depp in the article, he sued and won the case. Heard, on the other hand, won only one of her three counterclaims. After settling payments with Depp, she reportedly adopted a new name and chose to lead a private life in Spain, away from the public eye.
