With the new year upon us, Iain Armitage surprised fans by reuniting with a former co-star from the beloved series, “Young Sheldon”. Over the course of eight years, audiences watched Armitage transition from a child star to a teen actor, following the show from its debut in 2017 to its finale in 2024.

One of the standout characters from “Young Sheldon” was NASA aerospace engineer Dr. Ronald Hodges, portrayed by Jason Kravits. Nearly two years after the show concluded, Armitage shared a heartwarming photo with Kravits on his Instagram story.

In the photo, Armitage can be seen smiling alongside his former on-screen nemesis. The post also featured a playful message reminiscing about their friendly rivalry on “Young Sheldon”. Armitage expressed his admiration for Kravits, who recently starred in the hit musical “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” as Vice Principal Douglas Panch.

Armitage has always maintained close relationships with his fellow cast members. He recently reunited with Zoe Perry, who played his on-screen mom, Mary Cooper, much to the delight of his followers. Additionally, he shared a special moment with Wallace Shawn, who portrayed Dr. Sturgis on the show, affectionately referring to him as his “favorite actor”.

After seven successful seasons, viewers were able to witness the formative years of the quirky physicist Sheldon Cooper. Set in the late 1980s and early 1990s, “Young Sheldon” serves as a prequel spin-off to “The Big Bang Theory”, chronicling Sheldon’s childhood in East Texas.

Alongside Armitage and Perry, the show features a talented cast including Lance Barber as George Cooper Sr., Montana Jordan as Georgie Cooper, and Raegan Revord as Missy Cooper. Notably, Annie Potts portrays Meemaw, while Jim Parsons, who played the adult Sheldon in “The Big Bang Theory”, serves as the show’s voice narrator.

In a world where trends come and go, it’s heartwarming to see the lasting connections forged by the cast of “Young Sheldon”. As Armitage continues to grow as an actor, his bond with his former co-stars remains as strong as ever.
