Honoring the Military: The Road to Stagecoach

The tour bus rumbled through the Sunday night darkness as it made its way down The Road. This week, the chosen six country singers, handpicked by music greats Blake Shelton, Taylor Sheridan, and Keith Urban, took to the stage at The Hall in Little Rock, AR. Their acoustic performance, dedicated to honoring the military, showcased each artist’s talent through a mix of covers and originals.

With Blake absent from the concert, guest judge Jordan Davis joined Keith and “tour manager” Gretchen Wilson in providing feedback to the performers. The stakes were high, with the grand prize for winning The Road being a slot at Stagecoach, a recording contract, and $250,000.

In a surprising turn of events, no contestants were eliminated this week. However, the pressure is on for next week when two artists will bid farewell from the competition.

Advancing to the next round on The Road are:

Adam Sanders, 36, from Lake City, Fla.

Billie Jo Jones, 34, from Emory, Texas

Britnee Kellogg, 40, from Anthem, Ariz.

Cassidy Daniels, 25, from Marion, N.C.

Channing Wilson, 49, from Lafayette, Ga.

Cody Hibbard, 32, from Adair, Okla.

The results of the votes were not made public, keeping the suspense alive for the audience.

In a departure from the norm, Keith chose not to reveal the bottom two performers this week. Instead, he commended all the artists for their exceptional performances, deciding to keep everyone in the running. The tough decision of sending two contestants home will have to wait until the next round.

The Road airs on Sunday nights at 9 p.m. ET/PT on CBS and is available for streaming the following day on Paramount+.

As the competition heats up, fans eagerly await to see who will emerge victorious on The Road.
