Home Town: Inn This Together

In their hit HGTV show “Home Town,” Erin and Ben Napier have spent the past decade restoring homes and structures in their small Mississippi hometown. The married couple has even hosted spinoffs of their popular reality series during this time.

Their latest project, “Home Town: Inn This Together,” will premiere on HGTV next month. The show will feature the Napiers teaming up with their close friends Jim Rasberry, Mallorie Rasberry, and Josh Nowell to restore the 25,000-square-foot Kress building in downtown Laurel. The building, which once housed a department store, has been deteriorating for 40 years, with issues like flooded areas and disintegrating walls.

As the team works to turn the space into a modern inn with a storefront and restaurant, they will face challenges like budget issues and a devastating fire that severely damages the hotel post-renovation. Despite these hurdles, the Napiers and their friends are determined to make their vision a reality.

After working with the Napiers, the Rasberrys and Nowell successfully opened their inn, The Heirloom, located at 400 Central Ave in Laurel. However, a fire in August 2025 temporarily paused all bookings on The Heirloom’s website. The hope is that the hotel will be able to reopen soon.

The first episode of “Home Town: Inn This Together” will air on HGTV on Sunday, May 10, at 8 p.m. ET/PT. For viewers who prefer streaming, each new episode will be available the following day on HBO Max.

In summary, Erin and Ben Napier’s latest project showcases their dedication to restoring historic buildings and creating spaces that celebrate community and heritage. With “Home Town: Inn This Together,” they continue to prove their passion for preservation and revitalization in their beloved hometown.
