Heartbreak Beyond the Ballroom

The ballroom isn’t the only place where hearts can break. Just ask Alix Earle, who recently shared her struggles on TikTok after falling short on season 34 of Dancing With the Stars. “I’m going thru a dance breakup don’t text,” captioned the social media personality, showing fans a raw and relatable side of herself.

In a video that quickly garnered over 1,000 comments, Earle sat on the floor, eating cold soup straight out of a Progresso can. It wasn’t long before her DWTS partner, Val Chmerkovskiy, chimed in with a simple “hey” and a laughing emoji, showing their supportive bond even in defeat.

Earle and Chmerkovskiy finished in second place on the show, losing to Mirrorball Trophy winners Robert Irwin and Witney Carson. The season also saw Jordan Chiles and Ezra Sosa in third, Dylan Efron and Daniella Karagach in fourth, and Elaine Hendrix and Alan Bersten in fifth.

Despite the loss, fans were quick to shower Earle with support in the comments. One user lamented, “The finale made me feel worse than a breakup,” while another insisted, “You should have won it all, and I will die on that hill!” The outpouring of love and disappointment showcased the impact Earle’s journey had on viewers.

While the Mirrorball Trophy may have eluded her, Earle’s personal life continued to shine as brightly as ever. Her relationship with Texans wide receiver Braxton Berrios, which began in March 2023, remains a beacon of love and support. Though Berrios couldn’t attend Earle’s DWTS performances due to his NFL schedule, he stood by her through it all, even sending a sweet video message during the finale.

In a world where dance competitions and cold soup can bring unexpected challenges, Earle’s resilience and grace both on and off the dance floor serve as a reminder of the power of authenticity and vulnerability. In the face of defeat, she continues to inspire with her unwavering spirit and unwavering love.
