It’s been three months since the most chaotic season of Love Island unfolded.
Since the show concluded, three out of five couples have announced their breakups, and recently, Ayo Odukoya has made significant moves that hint at a split from Jess Spencer as well, leaving Nicole and Ciaran as the only couple still together.
Ayo and Jess made quite the entrance back into the villa after Casa Amor, walking in hand in hand and leaving Mimii, who had devoted so much of her energy to Ayo, single.
However, it quickly became clear that Ayo and Jess had a great rapport and a connection that seemed to be lacking between him and Mimii, with Jess’s poise throughout the situation earning her many fans.
Sadly, it seems their relationship was not destined to last. In the past week, Ayo has removed Jess from his Instagram, deleting most photos of her from his feed, except for one of them together on the red carpet at the National Television Awards in 2024.
He has also stopped liking her news posts and even edited his previous captions to exclude any mention of her.
While this isn’t definitive proof of their breakup, what else could it possibly signify? Why would Ayo want to completely erase Jess from his social media unless they were no longer together?
Jess appears to have followed suit by clearing her Instagram, leaving only one post celebrating the end of their Love Island season.
However, fans have speculated that she might be the reason for the breakup, claiming Ayo is the one left hurt.
There are nasty rumors circulating online suggesting that Jess cheated on Ayo, despite her portrayal as a loyal, kind-hearted, and humorous person on the show.
Things escalated to the point where Jess felt compelled to respond to the hateful comments on social media, replying to someone on Snapchat who accused her of cheating and said, “You don’t deserve Ayo.”
She simply shot back, “These apps are full of absolute idiots. Where do you get your information from?”
While Jess has dismissed the cheating allegations, she hasn’t addressed the breakup rumors, which seems to further confirm their split.
The breakup may surprise some, as the couple finished fourth on the show and appeared quite happy together.
However, many fans might be celebrating since both Ayo and Mimii are single again.
Could there be a chance for that old flame to rekindle? It’s not entirely out of the question, especially considering Ayo’s family seemed more supportive of his relationship with Mimii than with Jess when they visited the villa during the show.
