Great American Family’s Fifth Year of Christmas Magic

As the holiday season approaches, Great American Family gears up for its fifth year of Christmas programming, kicking off its festivities on October 10. Originally known as GAC Family and before that, Great American Country, the network was rebranded in 2021 under the leadership of CEO Bill Abbott. Starting with just a few Christmas movies, the network has grown to become a beloved destination for holiday-themed content, featuring stars like Merritt Patterson, Jen Lilley, Trevor Donovan, and Candace Cameron Bure.

This year, Great American Family is bringing back its fan-favorite stars, including Danica McKellar, Mario Lopez, Cameron Mathison, and Jill Wagner, to name a few. Bill Abbott, President & CEO of Great American Media, emphasized the tradition that Great American Christmas has become for viewers, highlighting the passion for faith and family-rooted storytelling that sets it apart from other holiday offerings.

The holiday programming on Great American Family begins on Friday, October 10, with additional content available on their streaming platform, Great American Pure Flix, starting on October 16. Viewers can catch all the new Christmas movies premiering in 2025 on Great American Family on Saturdays at 8 p.m. ET. Additionally, these films will have their streaming premiere on Great American Pure Flix the Thursday before their broadcast premiere.

The lineup for 2025 includes heartwarming films like “The Christmas Spark” starring Mario Lopez and Ali Cobrin, “There’s No Place Like Christmas” with Cindy Busby and Sam Page, and “Cranberries and Carols” featuring Jill Wagner and Trevor Donovan.
