General Hospital Fans Mourn Loss of Legends Tristan Rogers and Anthony Geary

General Hospital fans were left mourning the loss of two beloved legends, Tristan Rogers (Robert) and Anthony Geary (Luke), who passed away last year after battling cancer and in December respectively. Since then, fans have been eagerly anticipating tribute episodes to honor these iconic stars.

On New Year’s Day, the ABC soap re-aired Geary’s final episode from 2015 when he retired as Luke and also aired an In Memoriam card at the end of a recent episode to remember the late actor. However, fans were reassured that more tributes were in the works for Geary, with a montage featuring General Hospital stars remembering and honoring him set to air on January 22.

As for honoring Tristan Rogers, fans were eager for details on how the show would bid farewell to his character, who has not passed away on-screen. Writers are currently working on incorporating a proper send-off for Rogers into the show later in 2026. This coincides with the General Hospital 2026 preview, teasing a major traumatic event for the Scorpio family this year.

The delay in tribute episodes for both Rogers and Geary is due to the importance of giving them the right farewell. As seen with previous tributes on the show, such as Leslie Charleson’s memorial, a thoughtful and fitting tribute takes time to craft.

While fans eagerly await these tribute episodes, the show continues to honor the legacy of these beloved stars in a way that resonates with viewers. General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC, keeping the memories of Rogers and Geary alive in the hearts of fans.
