Amidst the chaotic energy surrounding Thanksgiving and the buzz around the movies “The Running Man” and “Wicked: For Good,” Colman Domingo, the Emmy-winning actor, is finding moments of tranquility.
Celebrating his 56th birthday on Friday, Domingo shared three photos of himself smiling while watching a sunrise at the beach. Donning a cheetah-print fur coat over a gray hoodie, paired with sweatpants and checkered Vans, he exuded a sense of calm and contentment in the serene setting.
In the midst of a whirlwind year, Domingo has lent his voice to the character Norman Osborn in the Marvel Studios animated series “Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man” and is set to portray Joe Jackson in the musical biopic “Michael,” scheduled for release on April 24, 2026.
Recently, he co-starred in Netflix’s “The Four Seasons,” earning a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor, and stood out as a co-chair of the 2025 Met Gala. Additionally, he starred in Sabrina Carpenter’s music video for “Tears.”
Looking ahead to 2026, Domingo is gearing up to co-star in the upcoming Steven Spielberg film alongside Emily Blunt, Josh O’Connor, Eve Hewson, Wyatt Russell, and Colin Firth. He also has plans to direct and star in an untitled Nat King Cole biopic.
Despite his busy schedule, Domingo made time to promote his latest movies, “The Running Man” and “Wicked: For Good,” both released in theaters this month. In “The Running Man,” a remake of the 1987 film, he portrays Bobby “Bobby T” Thompson, the host of a dangerous game show. Meanwhile, in “Wicked: For Good,” he lent his voice to the Cowardly Lion.
Renowned for his work in various projects like “Fear of the Walking Dead,” “Rustin,” “The Color Purple,” “Sing Sing,” and “The Madness,” Domingo continues to captivate audiences with his versatile talent and engaging performances.
In a world filled with chaos and noise, Colman Domingo finds solace in the simple beauty of a sunrise on the beach, a moment of peace amidst the hustle and bustle of life.
