Exodus Unleashes “Goliath” onto the Metal World

Exodus, the Bay Area metal band, shook the music world with the announcement of their highly anticipated twelfth studio album, “Goliath.” Set to release on March 20, the album features a lead single titled “3111,” inspired by the narco killings in Juarez. However, the original music video was deemed too violent for YouTube, leading the band to create a new version.

The album, described as the band’s most collaborative record yet, boasts songs written by various members and includes contributions from Hypocrisy’s Peter Tägtren and violinist Katie Jacoby. Notably, former frontman Rob Dukes has returned as the vocalist of Exodus, taking over from Steve “Zetro” Souza. Dukes’ last stint with the band was in 2014, making his debut with them in 2005 on the album “Shovel Headed Kill Machine.”

Exodus, founded in 1979 in Richmond, California, gained acclaim in the 1980s with classic albums like “Bonded by Blood,” “Pleasures of the Flesh,” and “Fabulous Disaster.” Their current lineup includes Holt, Dukes, Altus, Gibson, and Hunting. The band’s last studio album before “Goliath” was “Persona Non Grata” in 2021.

Fans can look forward to Exodus touring in spring 2026, supporting acts like Megadeth, Anthrax, and Kreator across Canada and Europe. The album is available for pre-order on their official website and will be released via Napalm Records on March 20, with the lead single “3111” already available for streaming.

In the world of metal, Exodus’ return with “Goliath” marks a significant moment, blending intense themes with powerful music. The band’s evolution and resilience are evident in their latest offering, showcasing their unwavering commitment to their craft. Get ready to experience the raw energy and passion of Exodus like never before with “Goliath.”
