Enugu State Police Make Significant Arrest in Human Trafficking Case

Enugu State Police recently made a significant arrest in the fight against human trafficking. Suspect Raymond Sunday Wonna was apprehended and two young female victims, Miracle Ogar and Angela Kingsley, were rescued. The girls, aged 18 and 16 respectively, were being trafficked to Ghana under false pretenses of job opportunities. The suspect also attempted to assault the victims while they were staying at a hotel.

Thanks to the quick actions of the Police Crack Tactical Squad, the victims were intercepted and safely returned to their families. The investigation is ongoing to dismantle the trafficking network and hold all involved accountable. Commissioner of Police Mamman Bitrus Giwa commended the team for their efforts and stressed the commitment to fighting human trafficking and other crimes.
