Charli XCX Ventures Into Cinema with “The Moment”

Charli XCX is not only dominating the music scene but is now venturing into the world of cinema. A teaser trailer has just been released for her upcoming film “The Moment,” where the pop star takes on a meta role. The film, which follows a singer navigating the complexities of fame and industry pressure while preparing for her arena tour debut, was conceived by Charli XCX herself, according to Variety.

Fans have been quick to express their excitement for the concert tour-based film, flooding the comments section of studio A24’s Instagram post. “We’re SO ready for this movie omg,” wrote one user, while another commented, “lit so excited for this new film😮‍💨😮‍💨.”

Directed by acclaimed photographer Aidan Zamiri, “The Moment” also stars Kylie Jenner, Alexander Skarsgard, Rachel Sennott, Rosanna Arquette, Kate Berlant, Rish Shah, and Jamie Demetriou. Charli XCX has been making waves in the film industry, appearing in multiple projects released this year alone, including Pete Ohs’ “Erupcja,” the Julia Jackman film “100 Nights of Hero,” and Romain Gavras’ adventure comedy “Sacrifice.”

According to Variety, Charli XCX is set to star in more upcoming films, including Daniel Goldhaber’s “Faces of Death” remake, Gregg Araki’s “I Want Your Sex” alongside Olivia Wilde, Mason Gooding, and Cooper Hoffman, and Cathy Yan’s “The Gallerist” led by Jenna Ortega, Natalie Portman, and Catherine Zeta-Jones.

In an interview with Variety, Charli XCX expressed her enjoyment of her acting journey, feeling inspired and creative in the field. She only wants to do things that inspire her and make her feel energized. “The Moment” is set to open in theaters in 2026.

Meanwhile, another pop star’s upcoming movie has also caught the attention of fans. The teaser for Paris Hilton’s “Infinite Icon” concert documentary film was released recently, chronicling her road to the release of her second album.
