Capital One’s Hollywood-Inspired Soirée at Art Basel

As Art Basel descends upon Miami once again, the city has come alive with a buzz of creativity, celebrity, and culture. Among the glamorous gatherings, Capital One stood out with an unforgettable soirée on December 4th, marking a night of artistic celebration in style.

Collaborating with W Magazine and The Cultivist, Capital One hosted a star-studded event at The Mirage Factory, a captivating installation by artist and filmmaker Alex Prager. The venue, a transformed Beach Theater on Lincoln Road, transported guests into a surreal Hollywood dreamscape, complete with iconic landmarks and whimsical touches like a life-sized orange grove.

Amidst the enchanting surroundings, attendees sipped martinis from the bar, perused the gift shop for unique Prager-designed apparel, and danced the night away to the sounds of DJ Rae Sada. The Hollywood theme extended to the charitable aspect of the evening, with all proceeds from the gift shop going to Heal the Bay, a nonprofit dedicated to preserving Los Angeles’s waters.

Surprises abounded as Ellie Goulding took the stage, dazzling guests with a soulful performance of her hit songs. Adorned in an elegant Anna October slip dress, Goulding channeled Old Hollywood glamour, adding a touch of magic to the night’s festivities.

Throughout the week, Capital One cardholders enjoyed exclusive access to The Mirage Factory, with additional perks for Venture X and Venture X Business cardholders. The party itself, a homage to Hollywood’s Golden Age, drew a guest list that included Janelle Monáe, Damson Idris, Quavo, and Chance the Rapper, among others, celebrating the fusion of art, fashion, and entertainment.

The highlight of the week undoubtedly belonged to Prager’s mesmerizing installation, The Mirage Factory, which captivated all who entered its whimsical world. As the festivities drew to a close, the echoes of art, music, and Hollywood glamour lingered, leaving a lasting impression on all who attended.
