Put your pink fingers to the moon, because Bruno Mars just revealed some exciting news.
On Thursday morning, the “Grenade” singer announced to his fans on Instagram that he is hitting the road and going on a world tour for the first time in almost a decade. The Romantic Tour is set to visit various cities across the United States, Canada, and Europe, beginning on April 10 in Las Vegas and concluding on Oct. 14 in Vancouver. Leon Thomas, RAYE, Anderson .Paak as DJ Pee. Wee and Victoria Monet are set to open for him in select cities.
The announcement arrives just one day after Mars revealed that the title track and lead single for his fourth solo album, The Romantic, will be released on Friday. The complete record will be out on Feb. 27.
Many fans suspected new music from Mars was soon to come, especially after he tweeted on X on Monday that his “album is done,” which sent the Internet into a frenzy.
Though it’s been a decade since the 40-year-old musician released a solo project, he has still remained very active as a producer, performer, and artist. In 2021, he put out an album as Silk Sonic with Anderson. Paak, and scored multiple successful collaborations with other singers. Mars also has a long-running residency at Dolby Live at Park MGM in Las Vegas, which began in 2016.
Since the start of his career, Mars has sold over 150 million records worldwide and won various accolades such as Grammy Awards, American Music Awards, Brit Awards, and broken eight Guinness World Records. Born as Peter Gene Hernandez, Mars rose to fame as a recording artist in 2009 when he was featured in B.o.B’s hit “Nothin’ on You.”
Presale for The Romantic Tour will begin next Wednesday. Fans can sign up for access until Monday on Mars’ official website.
As Bruno Mars embarks on his world tour and prepares to release his new album, fans are eagerly anticipating what the talented musician has in store next.
