Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s six children are steering clear of the Hollywood limelight, with none of them planning to pursue acting careers. Jolie, who attended the AFI premiere in Los Angeles on October 27, shared that her children—Maddox (23), Pax (20), Zahara (19), Shiloh (18), and twins Knox and Vivienne (16)—prefer to lead private lives and avoid the spotlight.
At the event, Jolie told E! News, “No, I think they’re especially shy, very private people… They want to be private.” A source close to the family shared with People that Jolie’s children are her “biggest supporters” and that she’s managed to build a happy life for herself and her kids over the past few years. While Jolie faced struggles initially, she is proud of her children’s resilience and strength, with their support being a significant part of her life.
The source added that Jolie is not focused on past events, such as the 2016 plane incident involving Pitt. Instead, she’s concentrating on her family and future projects, explaining, “Being stuck in the past is not anything that Angie wants. She wants to focus on her family, work, and the future.”
Though her children may not be interested in acting, they are still closely involved in her work. In an interview with CR Fashion Book in September, Jolie revealed she and her daughter Vivienne got matching tattoos—“Stay Gold”—while working on the Broadway production The Outsiders, which Jolie co-produced. The phrase, taken from a song in the play, holds deep significance for both of them. Jolie had her tattoo on her wrist but didn’t specify where Vivienne’s was placed.
