Born to an Irish immigrant mother, Hamish Badenoch received his education at the prestigious Ampleforth College, where he served as head boy. He later attended the University of Cambridge, Trinity College, earning a bachelor’s degree in history.
Professional Career
Hamish’s professional journey began with a brief stint in journalism. From June to December 2002, he worked as a journalist and photographer for Nation Newspaper in Malawi, covering topics such as prison reform, economic development, and democratization. In 2003, Hamish transitioned into the corporate world, joining Booz and Company as a senior consultant. His career in finance took off when he joined Deutsche Bank in London in March 2010. Over the years, he has held various positions within the bank, including:
