Alexisonfire and Billy Talent Announce Co-Headlining Shows to Celebrate 20th Anniversaries of Seminal Albums

In a thrilling synchronicity, two iconic rock bands have joined forces to commemorate the 20th anniversaries of their seminal albums.

Making waves on a Monday, Alexisonfire took to Instagram to reveal that they will be co-headlining two shows alongside Billy Talent this summer. The occasion? Celebrating the momentous two-decade mark of their respective albums, Crisis and Billy Talent II. The first electrifying show is set to ignite London’s Ovo Arena Wembley on June 24, with the mesmerizing Touché Amoré set to amplify the energy. The grand finale will rock the Bell Centre in Montreal on July 17, where the dynamic Faze will kick things off. Both performances promise to be a nostalgic journey as the bands plan to play their treasured albums front to back.

The celebration doesn’t end there. Alexisonfire is using this platform to shine a light on important causes. Teaming up with the Plus1 organization, a dollar from each ticket sold will go towards supporting ASTTeQ, the EB Research Partnership, and War Child Canada.

Looking back, Alexisonfire dropped their game-changing third studio album, Crisis, on August 22, 2006. Produced in Ontario’s Metalworks and Silo Recording Studios under the guidance of Julius Butty, this record marked a significant moment for the band with the introduction of drummer Jordan Hastings. Crisis boasts 11 captivating tracks, including chart-toppers like “Boiled Frogs,” “This Could Be Anywhere In The World,” and “Rough Hands.” The album debuted at an impressive #1 on the Canadian Albums Chart, selling over 20,000 units in its very first week,

Formed in Ontario in 2001, Alexisonfire made waves in the post-hardcore scene with their self-titled debut album back in 2002. Comprising a powerhouse lineup of Jordan Hastings, Chris Steele, George Pettit, Wade MacNeil, and Dallas Green, the band has continued to evolve, releasing five studio albums to date.

Meanwhile, Billy Talent, another Ontario-born rock sensation, traces their roots back to 1993. With Benjamin Kowalewicz, Ian D’Sa, Jonathan Gallant, and Aaron Solowoniuk at the helm, Billy Talent’s music has captivated audiences, with over one million albums sold in Canada and nearly three million globally over the span of 30 remarkable years. Their impactful second studio album, Billy Talent II, released in 2006, followed on the heels of their self-titled debut in 2003. The album made waves, debuting at No. 1 on the Canadian Albums Chart and selling 48,000 copies in its debut week.
