American rapper Cardi B has filed for divorce from husband Offset after seven years of marriage.
According to Page Six, the Bodak Yellow rapper seeks primary custody of their 5-year-old daughter Kulture and 2-year-old son Wave.
This isn’t the first time Cardi has called for a divorce from Offset since they tied the knot in 2017.
Cardi previously initiated the legal process to end their marriage in September 2020, clarifying to fans that it wasn’t due to infidelity, despite ongoing rumours about the Migos rapper. However, the couple reconciled, and the divorce filing was retracted.
A source told Page Six that the latest rumours surrounding Offset potentially cheating with an ex were the final straw for the mother of two.
“They’ve grown apart. That’s what drove her to this decision more than anything else,” the insider told the publication. “This is something she wants to do.” It isn’t a result of Offset’s alleged cheating.
The former Migos member was most recently accused of cheating after a blurry video surfaced seemingly date with alleged ex, Big PrettyRedz.
Despite their efforts to work things out in their marriage, the distance between them kept growing, leading to this latest separation.

There have also been talks about her potentially expecting a third child, which the rapper confirmed in an Instagram post.
Sharing a series of pictures adorned in a red outfit, Cardi wrote,” With every ending comes a new beginning! I am so grateful to have shared this season with you, you have brought me more love, more life and most of all renewed power! Reminded me that I can have it all!”
She continued,”You have reminded me that I never have to choose between life, love and my passion. I love you so much and cannot wait for you to witness what you helped me accomplish what you pushed me to do! Its so much easier taking lifes twists, turns and test laying down but you”.
