ABC 2026 Midseason Schedule Shake-Up: “RJ Decker” Starring Scott Speedman Premieres

The ABC 2026 midseason schedule is only two weeks in, but the network is already making moves with the debut of the new series “RJ Decker” starring Scott Speedman.

“RJ Decker” will take over the Tuesday night 10 p.m. timeslot currently held by “The Rookie”, resulting in “The Rookie” moving to Monday nights at 10 p.m. ET/PT starting Jan. 26, following the season premiere of “American Idol” Season 8.

The remaining 15 episodes of “The Rookie” will have a continuous run with no interruptions following the move. “RJ Decker” is set to premiere on Tuesday, March 3, following “Will Trent” and “High Potential.”

In “RJ Decker,” Speedman portrays the title character, a disgraced former newspaper photographer and ex-convict who starts fresh as a private investigator in the lively yet crime-ridden world of South Florida. The series follows him as he tackles cases ranging from slightly odd to outright bizarre with the assistance of his journalist ex, her police detective wife, and a mysterious benefactor from his past who could either be his greatest ally or his downfall.

Speedman is also known for his recurring role as Dr. Nick Marsh in ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy.”

Both “The Rookie” and “RJ Decker” will be available for streaming the next day on Hulu.

In the ever-evolving landscape of television, ABC is making bold moves with the addition of “RJ Decker”, promising viewers an exciting new series to shake up their Tuesday nights.
