Abandoned Children Found Neglected at Georgia Campsite

A shocking incident in Georgia has brought attention to the plight of three young children who were abandoned by their parents at a campsite. The children, all under the age of 5, were left alone and hungry for days before they were discovered by authorities.

According to reports, the parents, Jason and Kira Askea, are facing charges of cruelty to children for their actions. Their 2-year-old son, who has Down syndrome, was allegedly deprived of essential medical support, including oxygen and a feeding tube. The children were found malnourished and in poor hygiene conditions, highlighting the neglect they had suffered.

The Askea family’s tragic situation came to light when a camper alerted the authorities after finding the children alone in a tent at Little Tallapoosa Park. The kids, visibly hungry and covered in feces, revealed that they had not eaten for two days. The parents, who had been living in the park after losing their home, were arrested upon their return to the campsite.
