A Suite Holiday Romance

No Christmas movie lineup is truly complete without a dash of royal romance. While we’ve seen some charming royal love stories before, such as “A Royal Icing Christmas” and “A Royal Montana Christmas,” Hallmark’s latest film, “A Suite Holiday Romance,” brings a fresh twist to the genre. Unlike typical royal hero narratives, this film focuses on mistaken identity when a writer, portrayed by Jessy Schram, crosses paths with a handsome British man, played by Dominic Sherwood, who she mistakenly believes to be a royal when he is actually a Lord’s secretary.

Set in the iconic Grand Fairbanks Hotel in New York City during Christmas week, the film follows Sabrina Post (Schram) as she embarks on a thrilling ghostwriting venture for famous art dealer Grayson Westcott (Al Sapienza). Thrilled by the generous paycheck and the luxury of staying in her own hotel suite, Sabrina feels reminiscent of Cordelia, the heroine from her beloved children’s book series by Hazel Holley.

The plot thickens as Sabrina encounters the charming Brit, Ian Turner (Sherwood), at the hotel bar. Mistaken for a wealthy guest by Ian, Sabrina decides not to correct him, leading to a series of events where she discovers the truth about Ian’s identity as the personal secretary of Lord Spencer Braxton (Adam Hurtig). As they explore Christmas in New York together, Sabrina and Ian find themselves falling for each other, despite the initial mistaken assumptions.

“A Suite Holiday Romance” premieres on Saturday, December 13 at 8 p.m. ET on the Hallmark Channel, with streaming available on Hallmark+ the following day. This heartwarming tale of love, mistaken identities, and holiday magic is sure to captivate viewers with its unique spin on the classic royal romance narrative.
