Taco Bell’s latest menu update has been brewing for some time, and now it’s finally ready to make a splash. The fast-food chain initially teased this update during its Live Más Live event back in March in Hollywood, Calif. And now, the refreshing and energizing drink lineup is heading to menus at its Live Más Café locations.
The centerpiece of Taco Bell’s new drinks is its proprietary cold brew recipe, made with a blend of medium and dark air-roasted Arabica beans from Latin America. This slow, cold extraction method results in a balanced, low-acid profile that’s perfect for sipping.
But Taco Bell’s twist on cold brew doesn’t stop there. The drink can be ordered on its own or with one of three signature cold foam flavors at no extra charge. The options include Purple Velvet Cream (Horchata) Cold Brew, Caramel Dulce Cream Cold Brew, and Vanilla Cream Cold Brew.
While some may find it surprising that a fast-food chain known for its savory bites is delving into coffee, Taco Bell sees it as a natural progression. With years of experience crafting unique beverages like dirty sodas and frozen sips, bringing barista-inspired drinks to the menu was the next logical step for Taco Bell.
Starting on May 21, the new Cold Brew and flavored Cold Foams will be available at Live Más Café locations in Houston, Dallas, Las Vegas, and Southern California. To celebrate the launch, guests who purchase any medium Cold Brew at a Café on Saturday, May 30, will receive a limited-edition bandana.
Overall, Taco Bell’s foray into the world of cold brew and flavored cold foams showcases their commitment to flavor innovation and premium coffee experiences. So, next time you swing by Taco Bell, don’t be surprised to find barista-inspired beverages alongside your favorite Mexican-inspired dishes.
