Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat

Amazon Prime’s hit series, “Jury Duty,” is back with a bang for its second season, “Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat.” The stakes are higher, the casting is stellar, and viewers are in for a wild ride.

The show, which premiered on March 20, 2026, takes the same premise as the first season but shifts the setting to a whole new level. In “Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat,” the focus is on a group of improv actors and one non-actor placed in a professional environment. The non-actor, deemed the “hero” of the season, finds himself navigating through bizarre scenarios orchestrated by the production team, completely unaware that he is being filmed for a TV show.

Susie Farris, the casting director for both seasons, recently discussed the thought process behind the casting choices for Season 2 with Variety. When assembling the cast of improv actors, Farris emphasized the importance of finding individuals who were quick-witted and adaptable.

“We were looking for people who are smart, clever, funny, and grounded,” Farris explained.

One of the standout performers in Season 2 was Anthony Norman, who quickly became a fan favorite. Farris revealed that casting the role of Doug, the CEO’s son, was particularly challenging. However, Alex Bonifer, known for his work on AMC’s “Kevin Can F**k Himself,” caught Farris’ attention with his impeccable improv skills during auditions.

To ensure Bonifer’s anonymity, the production team made some strategic changes to his appearance, such as growing a beard and applying makeup. Ultimately, their efforts paid off, and Bonifer seamlessly slipped into the role of Doug.

Casting the lead for “Jury Duty” is no small feat, and Farris detailed the meticulous process of finding the perfect non-actor hero for Season 2. After conducting numerous Zoom interviews, Anthony Norman stood out to Farris and executive producer Nicholas Hatton. Norman’s genuine compassion and curiosity made him the ideal candidate for the role, reminiscent of Season 1’s hero, Ronald Gladden.

Norman’s ability to engage with others authentically and his self-assurance set him apart, making him a compelling addition to the cast of “Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat.”

“Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat” is currently available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video, offering viewers a glimpse into the captivating world of improv and professional scenarios like never before. Don’t miss out on this exhilarating and hilarious journey with the cast of “Jury Duty.”
