Accept Drummer Welcomes New Baby Boy Amidst 2026 Tour Preparations

Amidst the excitement of gearing up for their major 2026 tour, German heavy metal legends Accept have shared some personal news that has brought joy to the band and fans alike. Drummer Christopher Williams and his wife, Ainsley, recently welcomed a baby boy, adding a special touch to the group’s upcoming historic milestones.

In a heartfelt Instagram post, the band shared a touching photo of Williams cradling his newborn son, expressing their happiness for the growing family. “Congratulations to our drummer extraordinaire, Christopher Williams, and his beautiful Ainsley, who have just welcomed a magnificent baby boy into the world. Extra high five for Mama who carried him for 9 months and endured labor. We are thrilled for you both and look forward to seeing him rocking out and cheering his dad on at shows!” the band wrote.

As the band prepares for their May shows, they announced that Williams will be taking some time away from live performances to spend with his new family. However, they teased that a “very cool, special, and awesome guest” has stepped in to fill his place. While they didn’t reveal the identity of the replacement drummer, they assured fans that the shows will go on as planned.

Accept, formed in 1976 in Solingen, Germany, is celebrating their 50th anniversary with a bang. Their 2026 tour includes festival appearances in May and a massive European leg later in the year, spanning 11 countries with 24 shows. Special guest acts Dynazty and Tailgunner will also join the tour, adding even more excitement to the lineup.

In addition to the tour, Accept is gearing up for a special 50th-anniversary album that will feature re-recorded classics, deeper cuts, and guest appearances. This release promises to offer fans, both old and new, a fresh perspective on the band’s legendary career.

As Accept embarks on a year-long celebration of their 50 years in the industry, the birth of Christopher Williams’ son adds a personal touch to this significant chapter in the band’s history.
