Solidarity in the Jackson Family: Michael’s Sons and Siblings Stand Together at “Michael” Premiere

At the premiere of the biopic “Michael,” Michael Jackson’s sons and siblings stood together, showcasing solidarity in their family despite the absence of some notable members. Prince Jackson and Bigi Jackson were joined by their uncles Jackie Jackson, Jermaine Jackson, and Marlon Jackson on the red carpet in Berlin on a Friday evening.

Both of Michael’s sons paid tribute to their late father through their fashion choices. Prince, 29, donned a black suit paired with a red button-down shirt and black tie reminiscent of Michael’s iconic style during a 2002 performance of “Dangerous.” Meanwhile, 24-year-old Bigi stole the show with a black suit jacket featuring gold stripe and crown embellishments, matching pants, a white button-down shirt, a black tie, and an armband showcasing one of his dad’s signature dance moves.

While the premiere was a chance for the Jackson family to come together publicly, notable figures such as Paris Jackson and sisters La Toya Jackson and Janet Jackson were absent from the event. Michael Jackson, who was one of Joe and Katherine Jackson’s ten children, passed away in June 2009 due to a propofol and benzodiazepine overdose at the age of 50. He left behind his three children: Prince, Paris, and Bigi.

Now, almost 17 years after his death, the musical biopic “Michael” delves into the life of the “Thriller” singer. Set to be released in theaters on April 24, the film features Jaafar Jackson, Jermaine’s son, portraying the late King of Pop alongside a talented supporting cast including Nia Long, Laura Harrier, Juliano Krue Valdi, Miles Teller, and Colman Domingo.

Paris, who has been openly critical of the film, expressed her disapproval of her alleged involvement in the production. Despite these controversies, the family continues to navigate their complex relationships and individual paths- with each member making their own way in the world.
