“Things Can Only Get Better” North American Tour Fever 2022

The ’80s are making a fashionable comeback this summer with the upcoming North American tour headlined by the legendary Howard Jones. This tour, named “Things Can Only Get Better” after Jones’ hit song from 1985, promises to bring some much-needed positivity to audiences in troubled times. Alongside Jones, the tour will feature fellow ’80s icons Wang Chung, the English Beat, and Modern English, with radio personality Richard Blade serving as the host.

Unlike typical package tours where artists only play short sets, each act on the 21-date tour will be performing full sets. The tour kicks off on July 19 in Napa, California, and stops in cities like Las Vegas, Indianapolis, and Boston before wrapping up in Toronto on August 23.

Jones expressed his excitement about curating a tour with his favorite bands, aiming to bring joy with their popular hits. Wang Chung’s Jack Hues and Nick Feldman also shared their enthusiasm about joining Jones on tour, emphasizing the unique energy of ’80s music that they will bring to each stop.

Modern English’s Robbie Grey hinted at the band’s performance of new material alongside their classic hits, promising an exciting mix of old and new for fans to enjoy on every tour stop. To promote the tour, Jones will be appearing on SiriusXM’s “First Wave Hollywood Happy Hour” with Blade on April 10.

The ’80s nostalgia will be in full swing on this tour, with fans eagerly anticipating the mix of classic hits and new material from these iconic bands. This summer will be a nostalgic blast from the past as these ’80s legends take the stage once again to share their music with audiences across North America.
